Effective January 31, I 996 the Federal Aviation Administration requires applicants to provide a 10-year employment history. Applicants are also required to list convictions for any of the disqualifying chrimes listed below within the past 10 years. Applicants are subject to employment history verification and possibly FBI record check. Conviction of any of these criminal acts or a finding of not guilty by reason of insanity, within the last 10 years will disqualify an individual from unescorted access to the secured area of the airport.

  16. Kidnapping or hostage taking;
  17. Treason;
  18. Rape or aggravaed sexual assault;
  19. Unlawful possession, use, sale, distribution, or manufacture of an explosive or weapon;
  20. Extortion;
  21. Armed robbery;
  22. Distribution of, or intent to distribute, a controlled substance:
  23. Felony arson; or
  24. Conspiracy to commit any of the aforementioned criminal acts.
